Gotanjoji is a temple in Echizen City, Fukui prefecture. The temple is a dormitory to perform the ascetic practice. And it is also renowned as a “Neko-Dera” or cat temple. Many cats that were abondoned, are kept as pets in the temple site. They are searching for foster parent of cats.
Takeda Castle Ruins is located in Asago City, Hyogo Pref., Western Japan. It stands on 353 meters above sea level, so is called the “Matu Picchu of Japan”, or “Tenku-no-shiro” that means the castle in the sky. Takeda Castle was built in 1441, and was abandoned by Ieyasu Tokugawa after Battle of Sekigahara. Recently, it’s superb view is becoming very popular in Japanese people. Especially, in winter or autumn early morning, the ruins looks like floating on a sea of clouds. (Thank you for being patient with my English.)

Miyajima, the popular name of Itsukushima Island is located in Hiroshima Bay, south-west of Hiroshima City, western Japan. This island is one of Three Views of Japan “Aki no Miyajima”. There is a number of shrines and temples. And Itsukushima Shrine is a most famous site in Miyajima. (Thank you for being patient with my English.)

Mount Takao is located in Tama district of Tokyo, within an hour of downtown Tokyo. It is very popular hiking spot for various people, including beginners, foreigners and young girls (“Yama-Girl”). There is eight hiking courses. Half way up the mountain, there stands Yakuoin Temple. Mount Takao is also a mountain of worship. You can choose cable car to climb to the half way, Takaosan Station. Ginkaku-ji, officially named Jishō-ji, is a temple of Kyoto. It is one of the constructions that represents the Higashiyama Culture of the Muromachi period. The Kannonden Hall is not the Main Hall, but it is the most famous, and popularly known as Ginkaku, the “Silver Pavilion” . (Thank you for being patient with my English.)
Byodoin is a temple in Uji City, to the south of Kyoto City, built in Heian era. The Ho-o-do Hall, its official name is Amida-do Hall, was completed in 1053. …

Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine is located in Fushimi Ward, the south of Kyoto City. The endless arcades of Senbon Torii (a thousand torii) are particularly famous.
